Resources for the busy agent

Many industries have a busy season. During this time, stress, anxiety, and the feeling of being overwhelmed are a part of the business model. Often enough, the focus is only on the current task at hand and unfortunately pipelines become bare. The season is only temporary and most people can return to the normal cycle. However, this is not true in real estate, especially in this market and era. The Columbus REALTOR® salesperson is always on a high-speed/non-stop train with no end in sight (hopefully).

Traditionally, this article has been written for Commercial agents, but I encourage all REALTORS®, especially residential agents, to take note of the resources available for commercial deals. These resources are designed to educate and save valuable time.

Please visit the commercial section on the Columbus REALTORS® website. New tools and enhancements have been added to assist you with your commercial needs. You will also find updated forms, Governing Board members, and terms and definitions of commercial real estate.

In 1994, the Commercial Section was created to serve the needs of Columbus REALTORS® members involved in the purchase, sale or lease of commercial land, office, apartment, industrial, investment, and retail real estate.

Find a REALTOR®: Commercial Member Database
On the website, you can search for commercial members in the member directory. This is a great resource for networking or finding a referral source. Be sure to select the Commercial REALTOR® option.

Public Commercial Property Search
Public visitors and non-COCIE members (most residential agents) can access the COCIE property database from the homepage under the “Find Commercial Property” link. Available properties are listed with contact information for participant members.

Columbus Market Trend Reports
Each quarter, Xceligent publishes market trend reports for Office, Industrial, and Retail in Columbus. These reports are researched by the Xceligent team and reviewed by an Advisory Board of Columbus brokers. The purpose of the reports is to provide transparency in the marketplace and to be the go-to source for accurate data.
