One of the goals this year of the Affiliate Liaison Committee is to encourage all of you to encourage all the professionals that you work with in completing your real estate transactions to become supporting and participating members of the Columbus Board of REALTORS®. AN Affiliate member of CBR is an individual who does not have a real estate license but has an interest in the real estate industry.
In June of this year, we offered a “half price sale” on Affiliate membership dues and gained a number of new Affiliate and Sustaining members.
The Selling points for Affiliate membership in CBR are the benefits derived from this membership. Our brochure for Affiliates was redesigned to enhance these benefits and clarify the dues structure. Benefits of CBR membership include:
ü Publicizing Affiliate members on the CBR web site and in the annual directory of members.
ü Discounts on fees for the expo booth at Sales Associates Day, room rental at CBR Headquarters, printing services, mailing labels, and other member services.
ü Eligibility to run for the Affiliate Director seat on the CBR Board of Directors, to receive the prestigious Affiliate of the Year Award, and to participate and network on CBR committees.
ü Receive “In Contract” magazine and other mailings that keep you informed of local industry issues and events.
Your membership is a cost effective way to stay informed, promote your company, interact with industry professionals, and help support the real estate industry.
The annual Affiliate Appreciation Breakfast is in its third year. This is a fun and growing event that allows us to recognize and thank the Affiliates for their interest and support of the real estate industry. If you aren’t an Affiliate member yet, make it a point to attend the breakfast November 18 and meet the CBR Directors, Area Realty Association Presidents, staff, and members of the Affiliate Liaison Committee.
REALTORS®, ask those vendors you work with to consider becoming participating members of CBR. The networking and relationship rewards are invaluable and lasting.
