Working hard to provide excellent education offerings in 2003
Fil Line, Chair
C/I Education Committee
Your C/I Education Committee has been working hard in 2003 to provide an array of courses that offer good value and useful information to C/I practitioners. At the Board Retreat in January, four goals were set for our Committee as follows:
- Set the course agenda for the entire year early in the year;
- Offer the three required courses designed for C/I practitioners;
- Offer six C/I luncheons with CE credit on pertinent topics;
- design 4-5 additional courses, mostly for three hours of CE credit, on topics to be decided.
Our first goal was not achieved. We’re still working on the course agenda for the latter half of the year. Our second goal will not be achieved, only because we decided it was not practical to try to compete with the NAR ethics requirement that the Board has integrated into other offerings for CE credit. Our third goal will be surpassed since we currently have completed or scheduled eight C/I luncheons. Our fourth goal will be achieved since we currently have completed or scheduled six courses with either 2 or 3 hours of CE credit.
Overall, we will conduct more courses for more credit hours than were conducted the previous year. The 16 members of the C/I Education Committee are dedicated to continuing to provide continuing education courses that are topical, professionally presented, interesting and useful. Any ideas that any REALTOR® wishes to present to the Committee can be submitted to Lucy Hadley and will be considered at our regular monthly meeting.
