Using a Buyer Broker

Using A Buyer Broker

How do buyer brokers charge their clients?
"When looking at new or resale homes, you need an advocate for you, protecting your interests in the home search. Using a buyer broker to help you is just like using a credit card to make a purchase. It doesn't cost you any more and it gives you added protection for that purchase. Many people don't realize that merchants pay a "commission" to their bank for all credit card transactions as a cost of doing business. It is just the same using a buyer broker - the fee is part of the cost the builder pays or part of the listing commission the seller pays to sell a home through a Realtor®. The only thing you invest with a buyer broker is your time!"

- Andrew Show, broker/owner of Buyers Resource Realty Services, and chair of the Columbus Board of Realtors® Membership Committee
