The Pickerington Area Chamber of Commerce and McGraw Motors of Lancaster have selected Marian Reitano of HER, Inc., REALTORS® as this year's recipient of the ATHENA Award. This award is presented to an exceptional individual who has achieved excellence in her/his business or profession, has served the community in a meaningful way, and has assisted women in reaching their full leadership potential. The ATHENA Award, created for the Chamber of Commerce in Lansing, Michigan in 1982, has expanded to over 375 cities in the United States, Russia, and Canada. It is presented in the form of a beautiful hand-cast bronze sculpture, symbolizing the strength, courage, and wisdom of its recipient.

CREE to Host Seminar on Exchange The Columbus Real Estate Exchangors (CREE) will host at its April 17 and 24, weekly meetings a workshop entitled "Why Exchange? The first hour (8:30 to 9:30 a.m.) of each meeting will be devoted to a discussion on the basics of exchanging with Furman Tinon, one of Ohio's foremost exchange experts. Also on hand will be Michael Raven of Asset Preservation, Inc., - a national company specializing in exchanges. The workshop will show you how to increase commissions, serve your clients better, get more listings and avoid losing a lawsuit because your client wasn't advised that they could have deferred taxes and have more money to invest. There is no charge to attend the workshop and reservations are not required. Just show up! CREE's meetings are held every Thursday at 5885 Cleveland Avenue (just north of State Route 161). The meetings begin with coffee, donuts and juice at 8:00am followed by the marketing of individual properties at 8:30am. If you are interested in joining CREE, annual dues are $20. |
