During the Forecast Night program, CBR honored five of its members with the Volunteer Service Award, which recognizes outstanding community and CBR involvement:  George Van Lent, HER, REALTORS®; Bob McCarthy, HER, REALTORS®; Jeff Murray, Murray Realty; and Paul Love, Coldwell Banker King Thompson; and Thomas F. Calhoon, III, Prudential Calhoon Co., REALTORS®.

 

Herman P. Gellings, CPM, Real Estate Investors Management Co., has earned the Columbus No. 42 Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management’s (IREM) prestigious Certified Property Manager of the Year Award for his outstanding contribution to the real estate management profession and the to community.

 

Connie Tursic, CPM, CB Richard Ellis, has been elected to serve as 2003 chapter president of the Columbus Chapter 42 of IREM.

 

The following CBR members have earned the Graduate, Realtors Institute (GRI) designation: Margaret Bauer, HER, Inc., REALTORS®, Jane Coughlin, Coldwell Banker King Thompson and Joseph Mosher, Prudential Residential One.

 

Joseph R. Lilley, of RJ Boll Realty, Ltd., was promoted to Vice President and has also received the SIOR designation (Specialist, Industrial and Office Real Estate) awarded by the Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS®, an international association of professional commercial real estate brokers.  The SIOR is awarded to individuals who complete at least five years creditable experience in the highly specialized field of industrial/office real estate and demonstrated professional ability, competency, ethical conduct, and personal integrity. 

 

In Memoriam

Columbus Board of REALTORS® Past President and Lifetime Member Cecil L. Neff, 94, passed away January 2, 2003, in Fort Myers, Florida. He was a member of the Appraisal Institute, member of the American Right of Way Association and a 32nd Degree Mason. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Elsie; daughters, Joan Neff and Sharon Tucker; sons, Cecil Jr., and Gary; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. Memorial services were held at Hope Hospice in Fort Myers, Florida.
