In the critical game of advertising Real Estate Weekly is clearly the Winner

This is the year of championship teams in Ohio.  The CBR head coach Bob Miller and assistant coach Skip Weiler named me as the coach (Chairman) of the Real Estate Weekly Publishing Board and Kevin Straight the Assistant Head Coach (Vice Chair).  Joyce Logan of the Columbus Dispatch is my Offensive and Defensive Coordinator with whom I have every confidence.  My coaching staff is made up of the Publishing Board Members.  The Players are YOU - the REALTORS® who need to advertise your listings and services to the 5 county area we live, work and play in.

My record in the game is a third 3-year term commitment to the Real Estate Weekly.  My service began after the initial CBR publishing partner did not renew their contract in 1995. The Head Coach and team negotiated to become partners with the Columbus Dispatch.  We have been growing and getting more competitive ever since.

 

Our goal is to make the Real Estate Weekly into the most affordable, widest circulated, most REALTOR® friendly, largest in physical ad space, print advertising tool in the CBR service area.  In short, to be the Champion of any Real Estate advertising medium in Ohio.  

 

The Offense for 2003

   505 Street Box Locations, - 505 street box locations, all Real Estate Offices, and all Big Bear, Kroger, Meijers, and Anderson’s General Stores locations. 

   32,000 copies circulated every 2 weeks with a 95% pick up rate by prospective Home Buyers. 

   the only published MLS hot sheet of new listings by zip code. 

   Great Ad Rates - A quarter page ad in the REW is physically larger with greater circulation yet less expensive than any other homes publication.  You get  FREE ad set up and changes, as well as hard-copy newsprint proofs delivered to you.  With a 13 week contract, you’ll also get a FREE Cover Ad on a rotation basis.

Big Plays for 2003

   A New Cover design that is more eye-catching and title-visible if it is laying in a rack among other newspapers.  The new “Tabloid” size (same as NY Sun Daily) which is handy at the dinner table and proven to be a better size to concentrate the readers eye equally on the page. 

   The New Homes Guide pull out section for builders and REALTORS® who represent builders and advertise new build homes. 

   Five Dispatch Insertiions!!! – The Real Estate Weekly will be inserted into 5 issues of the Columbus Dispatch in 2003.  This means that an additional 64,000 copies per insertion — 320,000 copies per year —  will be delivered to county residents  In 2003, that is 366,000 copies of your ads in the hands of potential Home Buyers!  Compare these numbers to any other newsprint, it can not even be matched! 

 

The Reward for all the plays is win for YOU the players.  We will have a REALTOR® friendly, low cost, high service, widely circulated, paper that we control for all time.  By the way, any profits the CBR makes on the REW are used to offset CBR operating costs. What does this mean to you? - putting off or reducing the need for CBR dues increases.  Isn’t it nice to know that your advertising dollar is working twice for you by reducing the amount of dues you pay?   In 2002 REW contributed over $8,000 to the general CBR Fund...
