Raffle drawing & free calendars

Although the Columbus Board of REALTORS® is primarily engaged in assisting adults find affordable housing, REALTORS® recognize the critical value of finding a home for everyone, which includes the precious children in our community in need of adoption.

This year, REALTORS® have made a special commitment to help increase adoption awareness in our community by participating in a raffle whose proceeds will benefit Adopt A Child Foundation.

Adopt A Child Foundation has partnered with Franklin County Children Services in creating the 2003 “All Kids Count” adoption calendar. This wonderful piece of art features 14 beautiful children who are waiting for adoptive families. Also pictured are 12 families who have adopted.

There will be 10,000 calendars available for distribution. REALTORS® will be able to pick up free copies of the calendars to give as gifts to families they have helped to find homes. Hopefully this unique partnership will lead to increased opportunities for our communities' children to find loving, adoptive homes.

Currently, Franklin County Children Services has over 150 children waiting to be adopted. Most of them are older children or sisters and brothers who need to be placed together. This calendar is a great way for people to be introduced to some of these wonderful children.

The large number of calendars REALTORS® will be able to share with their families would not be possible without the financial support of REALTORS® in this fund-raising effort.

Raffle Tickets

You can show your support for adoption and enter the raffle to win a pair of prime, $500 seat tickets for the Three Tenors (Luciano Pavarotti, Jose Carreras, and Placido Domingo) concert on January 5, 2003 at the Schottenstein Value City Center in Columbus, Ohio. Each person who purchases a raffle ticket will have a 1 in 500 chance to win, as only 1000 raffle tickets available.

The drawing will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2002. Tickets can be purchased through the Columbus Board of REALTORS® office, or online at www.adoptachildfoundation.org.

Free Calendars

The calendars are available. Not only will these beautiful calendars bring awareness to the program, they will make lovely closing and/or holiday gifts. To pick up your free copies (limit 25/person), please visit the CBR Member Service Center.
