Million Dollar Club Applications Due

Deadline is November 4 for Million Dollar Club Awards

If you are planning to apply for the CBR $1, $5, $10, or $25 Million Dollar Club award or Lifetime Achievement Award, the deadline of November 4 is fast approaching. The Million Dollar Sales Award year is November 1, 2007 through October 31, 2008.

Remember . . .
TEAM CREDIT: Teams consisting of more than one licensed agent will be awarded 1/4 credit per team member per transaction side. Names of all team members applying for the award must appear on the MLS Agent Full Report and/or the Sales Certification form in order to receive credit. This method of credit calculation is retroactive for the receipt of the team member's last award.

Standard documentation required as per Submission Rules indicating team members.

Industry Credit Required for Million Dollar Club Award -- The requirements to receive a Million Dollar Club Award include industry credit. Applicants must have served as a CBR committee member (complying with its attendance policy by October 31) or served as an officer in other real estate related organizations/associations for the calendar year in which the sales award is applied for.

MLS Automated Award Tracking put on Hold -- You know by now that the MLS automated award-tracking functionality for the million dollar club awards had to be put on hold by the MLS team. This is due to higher priority items needing attention since the conversion to TempoTM 5. As soon as those issues that assist you in doing your business are addressed and resolved, the Sales Advisory Committee will get the automated award tracking functionality back on the agenda, and work diligently to get it implemented. This will probably happen in 2009.

Until that time, if you had 10 closings, accumulated at least 1 million dollars in award credit in the current year (November 1, 2007 through October 31, 2008), reached the 1, 5, 10 or 25 million dollar production level, and served the industry this year on either a committee or as a area officer; please apply for your award. The goal of the sales advisory committee is to award the million dollar club awards to all members who have earned them. The rules must be followed to insure the awards are fair to all.

Lifetime Achievement Award
The Lifetime Achievement Award was created in 2005 to recognize members for their outstanding sales production as well as their long time commitment to the Columbus Board of REALTORS®. To qualify for this prestigious award, current member applicants:

  • Must have received CBR's 25 Million Dollar Sales Award
  • Must have held membership in CBR for a minimum of 15 consecutive years
  • Must obtain a minimum of 10 points* for CBR participation in the last 10 years:
    • Serve as CBR Officer -- 7 points (for all years in chairs)
    • Serve as CBR Director -- 5 points (for each 3-year term)
    • Serve as CBR Committee Chair -- 3 points (for each term)
    • Serve as CBR Committee Vice Chair -- 2 points (for each term)
    • Serve as CBR Committee member -- 1 point (for each year served)
    • Serve as an Officer in Area Association -- 1 point (for each year served)

Must earn a minimum of 2 points through CBR committee participation for the calendar year in which this award is applied for meeting the attendance requirement established by the committee on which they serve (*7 of the 10 points must be derived specifically from CBR participation).

Members can only receive the Lifetime Achievement award once. The deadline for submitting the application for the award would be the same as the CBR sales awards. Awardees will be recognized with a special gift during the annual President's Ball. Establishing this award eliminates any need in the future to develop an award with a higher sales volume level.
