Gina Myers and Jill Fergus of RE/MAX Impact recently became licensed auctioneers in the State of Ohio. To qualify for an Ohio Auctioneers License, recipients must complete 80 hours of state-approved class work; pass the State of Ohio apprentice test; participant in a 12-month apprentice program under the guidance of a licensed Ohio Auctioneer sponsor during which time they must bid-call at least 12 auctions and pass the State of Ohio auctioneers' test. To auction real estate in Ohio, an auctioneer must also have an Ohio Real Estate License. Gina and Jill are adding the auction component to their traditional real estate business.

Kaira Sturdivant Rouda, president of Real Living, just published a book entitled Real You Incorporated: 8 Essentials for Women Entrepreneurs for women entrepreneurs. It focuses on her experience in the real estate business and beyond and speaks to real estate agents about putting their personal brand in their business brand, or brokerage's brand. It features local and national women business owners -- in and out of the real estate industry. The book is available in bookstores across the U.S. and Canada.

Anne Voight has recently joined RE/MAX Impact from Coldwell Banker. Anne has been in real estate since 1978 and a Broker for 18 years. She holds the Certified Residential Specialists (CRS) and CRP designations.

Heidi Bennett, Powell, Jack Luebbe, Northeast Regional, Brandon Schlichter, Circleville, James Vowell, Powell, and Thomas Pape, Gahanna, have joined the Real Living HER sales team.

Simone Williams recently joined RE/MAX Impact. Simone received her real estate license in 2004, and is involved with residential and investment real estate.

Carol Spurgin has joined Dunmoor Homes Realty in Pickerington's Preston Trails model home.

Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, a division of Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., has announced its acquisition of Homestead Mortgage in Columbus, Ohio. As part of this transaction, employees of Homestead Mortgage have transferred to Wells Fargo.

Mary V. Ey of Columbus passed away recently at Riverside Hospital. Mary was a former sales associate with Coldwell Banker King Thompson. She is survived by best friend and husband, Tom; father, William Jerome Smith; children, Tamie Ey, Rick (Teri) Ey, Deanna (Greg) Belmonte, Jennifer (Chris) North and John Ey; eight grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
