Lari Madosky Shaw, ABR, CRS, PMN, Coldwell Banker King Thompson

Lari is currently serving her third consecutive 3-year term on the I KNOW I CAN Board of Directors. In addition to her director duties, Lari assists with their annual newspaper drive on downtown street corners to raise awareness of the program as well as raise funds. She also visits high schools to assist students in completing financial aid applications.

I Know I Can is one of the largest and most successful college access programs nationwide, and the only one in Columbus. It educates, motivates, and funds Columbus City School students for college, and has awarded more than 18 million in college Last Dollar Grants, while leveraging more than $252 million of additional financial assistance for their students. It has nearly 200 program volunteers annually, and has served more than 55,000 students since its inception in 1988.

Lari says, "I became involved with Columbus City Schools I Know I Can Program as a High School Senior, as a recipient of their Last Dollar Grant for college. After college graduation, I wanted to give back to the organization by becoming a volunteer, and now I'm gratefully serving my 3rd three-year term on the Board of Directors. What a humbling experience it has been hearing some of the incredible stories of the amazing students we serve. The adversities and challenges so many of them overcome in their daily living, makes getting to college so special."
