Ann Rarey, Real Living HER

Ann has been an active member of The Buckeye Ranch Women's Service Board since it inception in 1961. The Ranch was founded by a group of women who, after searching for the community's greatest need, banded together to dedicate their time and resources to the troubled adolescents of Franklin County.

The Ranch's Women's Service Board raised funds to purchase land in Grove City, Ohio and built the first residential cottage, Argo House, in 1961. Then there were only 10 boys in residence at the Ranch. Today the Ranch is serving 2,000 boys, girls, deaf children and families in their various programs.

Ann says, "I joined this group to help raise funds for the Ranch to support the children and families in need of the Ranch's treatment programs. The Buckeye Ranch has grown to become the largest private mental health facility dedicated to the treatment of youth in Ohio with eight locations throughout the state. Helping children, strengthening families and supporting them to become productive citizens is very important to me."
