Commercial/Investment Recognition Committee Awards

The CI Recognition Committee is primarily responsible for identifying and acknowledging members of the Columbus Board of REALTORS® Commercial/Investment section for outstanding performance. There will be six awards presented this year based on transactions, community activity, and involvement within CBR. The awards for activity from December 1, 2006 through December 1, 2007 will be:

Top Producer -- awards the top ten revenue producers.

Rookie of the Year -- the committee will vote for the most valuable newcomer to the industry over the past 3 years. This is based on performance, civic activity, and other careers and education.

Largest Transaction -- the largest commercial transaction is recognized.

Most Unique Transaction -- the most creative, lengthy, complex or challenging deal.

"1031 Exchange" Transaction -- the largest 1031 exchange deal.

2007 Erika Blumenstein Award -- Ed Carr will be this year's recipient. This award recognizes one member each year for their high level of community involvement, CBR participation, ethics, and performance throughout their commercial real estate career.

Recipients will be recognized during CBR's Forecast Night on January 23, 2008 at the Doubletree Hotel in Worthington. The speaker for this year's event will be Lawrence Yun, Chief Economist for the National Association of REALTORS®, and we look forward to his projections for our real estate market in 2008 and beyond.
