CDXMail+ is an enhanced internet based marketing product that allows commercial real estate professionals to reach a large targeted market very quickly. In Columbus, the Board of REALTORS® provides this product to the COCIE members as part of the basic package at a reduced rate. This tool allows people to reach upwards of 1,600 interested parties locally and over 40,000 nationally. When we are talking about reaching this many people, we need to all make sure we know the guidelines for effectively using it.
CDXMail is for Commercial Real Estate use only
Please do NOT send out event tickets, residential real estate, or vacation timeshares. This only upsets people and encourages other misuse of the product. The more CDXMail is abused, the less valuable the tool will become.
Send out New Listings and Changed Listings
When you get a new listing or have made a significant change to an existing listing it is appropriate for you to notify other REALTORS®. Please do not send out the same listing weekly or even bi-weekly unless something has changed.
Modifying the Distribution List
You may modify the distribution list in order to reach your intended audience. For example, if you have Flex space entirely built out as an office, select office and the necessary market of that listing. Please do not check all uses and all markets when it does not apply to your particular listing.
Sending to other Metros
This allows you to send your investment properties to interested parties outside our metro. This is not appropriate for properties for lease. Also consider whether it is a listing you would be interested in seeing if it were from another market before sending it out to the entire Xceligent universe.
Blocking Users
Everyone has the option to block a specific user at the bottom of each email they receive. You can always turn them back on by going to "View senders you have blocked". You also have the option to turn off CDXMail entirely at the bottom of the email as well.
Select the Types of Email I Will Receive
The option within CDXMail+ allows you to choose within each general property type the messages that you want to receive all of the way down to the submarket level.
Recipient Options
This feature within CDXMail+ allows you to turn on and off CDXMail and Broker Announcements. So if you were going on vacation and did not want to worry about coming back to an over filled inbox, you can choose to not receive them and turn them back on when you return.
Broker Announcements/Broker Open Announcements are for agents who join a new firm and want to update their contact information. To avoid confusion, they are not to be used in place of Broadcast My Listing. Broker Opens can be used for any open houses, as well as CCIIR, DOGS, and ARC meetings.
CDXMail Plus is a valuable communication tool, revolutionizing the Columbus real estate market,' in the words of one local COCIE member. Using the tool correctly is vital for its effectiveness, so please make sure you are sending safely.
