Donna Leigh-Osborne has joined the Real Living HER Arlington office. Donna has been in real estate for three years, is a member of the CBR Million Dollar Sales Award Club and has recently earned the Accredited Buyer Representative® (ABR) designation.

Larry Metzger, CBR CEO, was inducted into the Dr. Almon R. (Bud) Smith, RCE, AE Leadership Society. This honor recognizes association executives who excel in the association management profession by demonstrating uncommon leadership, a willingness to help others, and acceptance of a responsibility to constantly improve themselves.

Pat Miller, a real estate sales agent with Real Living HER's Newark office, recently received The Licking County Board of REALTORS® (LCBR) REALTOR® of the Year Award. This award is given on a point system that award members of LCBR for their service to the Board and the community.

James (Jamie) W. Mueller, Jr., USA Urban Suburban Appraisal and Managing Partner of Lincoln Lodge Retirement Residence has awarded the Lodge's 2007 Citizenship Award to William Peterson, a 4th grade student at Prairie Lincoln Elementary School. The award is given in an effort to promote civic pride within the neighborhood. The award is a scholarship that includes a full week of summer camp at Marmon Valley Farms, which features horseback riding and farm life at different camp sessions throughout the summer. Marmon Valley Farms is located in Logan County, Ohio.

Jon Sadler has joined Countrywide Home Loans and will be managing Countrywide's Gahanna/New Albany, Newark/Granville, and Chillicothe branches. He also will continue to serve clients and referrals directly. In his 20-year tenure in lending, Jon has been a Vice President at Fifth Third Bank and a partner at Homestead Mortgage.

Jim Staten, Keller Williams Consultants Realty, has been awarded the Certified Residential Specialist designation. REALTORS® who receive this designation have completed advanced courses and have demonstrated professional expertise in the field of residential real estate. Fewer than 38,000 REALTORS® nationwide have earned this credential.

Affiliate Director Mike Troutman has transferred to ReCasa Financial Group where he will serve as Vice President of Credit.

Kathy Wilkins, ERA Real Estate First, REALTORS®, has earned the Certified Affordable Housing, REALTOR® certification from the Columbus Board of REALTORS® Affordable Housing Committee. This certification recognizes REALTORS® who have committed their time and obtained experience in working the affordable housing market.

The following REALTORS® have transferred to Real Living HER sales team: Vernon Flynn, Jr., Gahanna office and Jaralea Havice, Hilliard office.

The Northeast/Westerville Realty Association's Spaghetti Dinner raised $7,650 for the Jane Markley Fund. The funds will be used to help offset the cost of Jane Markley's kidney transplant operation.

Real Living was named one of the best new franchises by Entrepreneur Magazine and was recognized by Inman News as real estate's "Most Innovative Franchise".

Betsy Lynch has transferred to the Central State Realty sales team and brings with her 11 years real estate experience.

In Memoriam


Henry Kelly Conklin
, of Hilliard, Ohio, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2007, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was a REALTOR®, Appraiser, and Land Developer in Hilliard and a 50-year member of the Board. He was born July 1, 1923, in Delaware County, Ohio, and graduated from The Ohio State University with a BS in Business Administration, Class of 1945. He was a member of 1941-1942 OSU Basketball Team, Life member of OSU Alumni, 50 Year member of Hiram Masonic Lodge, and Scottish Rite, Shrine, 50 year member of IOOF, International Order of Odd Fellows, Past Grand Noble, 50 year member of Grange, Franklin County Farm Bureau, and of Northwest United Methodist Church. He was the 1998 Hilliard Senior Citizen of the Year and Hilliard Parade Marshall in 1999. Henry is survived by loving wife of 63 years, Mary Kathryn (Slyh) Conklin; daughter, Connie (Douglas) Weakley of Plain City; sons, Dr. Ronald Kelly (Judy) Conklin of Grove City and Dean Henry Conklin of Denver, Colorado; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a hosts nephews, nieces, cousins and many good friends. Contributions may be made to the Kelly and Mary Conklin Scholarship Program for the Hilliard City Schools, Fifth Third Bank, 3800 Main St., Hilliard, Ohio 43026.

Bernard Paul Ginley, age 80, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2007, in Columbia, South Carolina. Bernard was a REALTOR® and a member of many clubs, including The Ancient Hibernia and the Hame Radio Club. Bernard was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and for 30 years was manager and owner of the Southern Theatre. He is a graduate of Central High School and attended The Ohio State University. He is survived by daughters, Jude (Richard) Abbott, Maire Beth (Robert) Kish, Susan (Tim) Johnson, Kelly (Alan) Humphreys, three grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, Sister, Margaret Campbell and companion, Margo Zaleski.

Robert E. Hill, age 86, of Columbus, died Thursday, April 26, 2007, at The Forum at Knightsbridge. He was a retired REALTOR® and broker. Born in 1921 in Columbus, Ohio, he was a graduate of Columbus North High School, Class of 1939 and The Ohio State University in 1947, earning a B.S. in Business Administration. He served in the United States Army from 1942-1946 in the South Pacific during WW II. He was a former Sales Manager with Columbus Plastic Products and the Lustro Ware Division, Borden Chemical Company. Robert is survived by his son, Earl Hill of Lancaster, Ohio; daughter, Susan Fowler of Bowling Green, Ky.; step-daughter, Terry (Ralph) Johnson; step-son, Todd (Kate) Wise and a host of other relatives and friends. In Robert's memory, memorial contributions can be made to HomeReach Hospice, Ohio Health Foundation, 3724 Olentangy River Rd., Columbus, Ohio 43214-9988, or to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Fla. 33607.

Bonnallie "Bonnie" Roberts, 79, of Dublin, died on May 7, 2007, after a longterm illness. Bonnie was a Broker/Owner of a Century 21 Agency in Dublin and a retired member of the Board, where she served on the education committee, winning the Outstanding Educator of the Year Award in 1991. She was active in civic affairs, volunteering for the Columbus Symphony, President's Right to Read Program, Beaux Arts, and the Girl Scouts. After raising her children she started a career in real estate and became a teacher/trainer, appraiser and real estate broker. Bonnie taught many real estate courses over the years at Franklin University, Columbus State and other institutions. She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca "Becky" Roberts Cunningham of Dublin, Barbara "Barby" Ann Roberts of Dublin; grandson, Phillip John Cunningham; and a hosts of other relatives and friends. Those wishing to make donations in her honor can make them to the Rascal Unit Charity, which benefits companion animals, and the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society.
