Columbus Housing Partnership/Homefront Restore Columbus Program

Restore Columbus is a comprehensive rehabilitation program to renovate existing homes throughout the city of Columbus and in partnership with the city's Home Again initiative -- a $25 million project that allows the city to acquire, clean-up, fix-up or demolish some of Columbus' worst vacant and abandoned properties. The goal is to rehabilitate certain dilapidated properties so the entire neighborhood can look beautiful.

Financing -- Financing incentives may include increased income eligibility and tax abated locations.

Eligible Buyers -- As part of HUD's Good Neighbor Next Door program, police officers, firefighters, teachers and military veterans from 2001 to present have the first opportunity to purchase our rehabbed homes.

Officer must be full-time and sworn to uphold the laws and be able to make arrests for violations of Federal, State, County or Municipal Law.

Teacher must be employed full-time by a Public School, Private School, or through a Federal, State, County, or Municipal Educational Agency as a state-certified Classroom Teacher orAdmisistrator in grades K-12.

Firefighter or EMT must be employed as a full-time Firefighter or Emergency Medical Technician by a Fire Deparment or Emergency Medical Services Responder Unit of the Federal Government, Local State, Unit of the Local Government, or an Indian Tribal Government serving the area where where the home is located.
