Our third annual REALTOR® Care Day was a tremendous success! Over 400 REALTORS®, Affiliates, family and friends volunteered their time to improve properties in 14 different areas around Central Ohio. Columbus City Councilmember Charleta Tavares, Dawn Tyler Lee, Assistant Vice President, Community Relations for The Ohio State University and Amy Klaben, President/CEO, Columbus Housing Partnership joined CBR's President Brad Bennett, President-Elect Greg Hrabcak, Treasurer Gary Parsons, REALTOR® Foundation Fund Chair Chris Reese and REALTOR® Care Day Subcommittee Co-Chairs Skip Weiler and Jan Jedlinsky in the morning at CBR's main project - Indianola Homes - to welcome and thank volunteers for their efforts. In the afternoon, Columbus City Mayor Michael Coleman also stopped by to offer his support of volunteer efforst to improve this project as well as the other 13 around the area. The $16,000 in contributions combined with extensive manual labor by members and local vendors provided the necessary resources for 14 different community service projects located in Bexley, Centerburg, Clintonville, Delaware County, Dublin, Franklinton, Gahanna, Grove City, Madison County, Pickerington, Worthington, Upper Arlington and Weiland Park.
