Nancy A. Dreyer, Real Living HER's Arlington office, has been awarded the Accredited Staging Professional? (ASP) designation. This designation is earned upon the completion of a detailed course on effective ways to prepare a home for sale and upon passing an extensive exam on the coursework.

Real Living HER recently announced the opening of two new satellite offices: 

John Francis, Beth Alderson, Amy Conley and Jean Ann Conley opened their satellite office in Old Dublin at 11 West Bridge Street, Dublin, OH, 43017.

Donna Brooks' satellite office was opened in Granville, Ohio, under the name Real Living HER Donna Brooks & Associates. Her office is located in The Offices at Erinwood, 1935 Newark-Granville Road, Granville, OH 43023.

Real Living HER currently has 12 satellite offices located in Canal Winchester, Delaware, Dublin (two), Gahanna, German Village, Granville, Grove City, Hilliard, Pickerington, Plain City and the Short North.

Carol Toronto, Real Living HER, has earned the Accredited Buyer Representative® (ABR) designation. To earn this designation, an agent must complete a two-day ABR designation course, one ABR elective course, verify five completed transactions in which one acted solely as a buyer representative and be a member in good standing of the Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council (REBAC) and National Association of REALTORS® (NAR).

During the April 18, 2007 Awards Night program, CORPAC Co-Chairs Chris Bell and Teddy Griffin presented 2006 NAR Golden R Awards to Barbara Lach and Nancy Sharp. Also receiving awards, but not present, were Harley Rouda Sr., Marnita Swickard and Charlotte Van Steyn.

Lucy Hadley, CBR's Director of Professional Development, was married to David Buzzee on Saturday, April 21, 2007. Now Lucy Buzzee, she and David are in the process of renovating a condo across the street from the Franklin Park Conservatory.

In Memoriam

Carol C. (Gleich) Daniels, a sales associate with Century 21 Joe Walker & Associates for 22 years, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 11, 2007, with her loved ones by her side. Carol lived in Reynoldsburg, Ohio and was an active member of the Reynoldsburg Church of Christ for 35 years, where she was a founding member of the Lydia Ladies and strong supporter of Children's Church. The light of her life was her granddaughter, Morgan. Carol is survived by her husband, Robert; children, Mary (Greg Danby), Brian, Craig and Julie; granddaughter, Morgan; and a host of other family members and friends. Contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the Children's Church Fund c/o Reynoldsburg Church of Christ.

Nita H. (Hill) Dougan of Columbus, Ohio passed away on Monday, April 9, 2007. Nita worked with her husband, Ben, as a property manager for Hamilton Commerce, REALTORS®. She was a member of CREE and the Worthington Chapter #287 O.E.S., and has a road named after her off County Line Road in Westerville, Ohio. She is survived by husband, Ben; daughter, Pamela Kay (Bob) Foose; twin daughters, Cindy (Bob) Bieber, Christine A. Dougan; grandchildren, Benjamin A. (Eme Lybarger) Teague, Dara Bieber, Toby B. Bieber; and great-grandson, Zachary David Teague. Nita is pictured with her husband, Ben.

Mary Jo Gorski, of Dublin, Ohio passed away at her home on Saturday, March 17, 2007. She was a 1978 graduate of the University of Illinois with a BS in Horticulture and has been a licensed real estate agent since 1988. She was an avid horse lover and member of the American Quarter Horse Association. Mary is survived is by her husband of 37 years, Dr. Stan Gorski; sons, Stas' and Jon Gorski; daughter, Katie Gorski; sister, Donna (Jim) Gwin; brothers, John and Dan Dowling. Donations may be made in Mary's memory to The St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Mary Jo is pictured with her husband, Stan.

Nathan P. (Nate) Katz, broker for Keller Williams Greater Columbus, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2007, from complications resulting from treatment for Leukemia. Nate graduated from Miami University in 1969 and obtained his real estate license in 1976. He enjoyed a successful and varied career with several companies and as owner of several businesses. His most recent venture was as broker and an owner of Keller Williams Greater Columbus Realty in the Gahanna/New Albany area. Nate, though, was most proud of his family - his wife of 32+ years, Denise, and children Adam and Robin. Nate was a dear friend, dedicated husband, great father and awesome son. He will be missed.

Clifford Shumate, a REALTOR® with Ferrell Realty, LTD and an insurance agent, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2007, at Grant Hospital. He was born June 26, 1972, in Elyria, Ohio. He lived in Oberlin for 27 years and in Columbus for 7 years. He graduated from Oberlin High School in 1990, received his Associates Degree from Lorain County Community College and a Bachelors Degree from Capital University in Columbus. He enjoyed sports, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his son, Terrence, as well as family and friends. Clifford is survived by his parents, Leroy and Louise Shumate; son, Terrence; sister, Marie Gardner of Elyria; brother; Phillip Shumate of Oberlin; and a host of other relatives and friends.
