Milt Lustnauer

Milt Lustnauer serves as a Pen Pal and Math Tudor for West Broad Elementary School through programs set by Upper Arlington Rotary.

The West Broad Elementary School Pen Pal program is a tie in with the English Class, and gives students an opportunity to be matched with a Pen Pal whom they can correspond back and forth with periodically throughout the school year. The Pen Pal program provides students with a mentoring figure and gives valuable practice at writing letters in the proper format; opportunities to develop relationships and maintain ongoing communication with people; and it increases the odds that students will continue to be letter writers for the rest of their lives.

Milt has participated in the Pen Pal Program for five years and over the years has been a Pen Pal to eight kids. Through the Upper Arlington Rotary, Milt also serves as a Math Tudor for 5th graders and can be found in the classroom on Mondays, 11 a.m - Noon, assisting teachers and helping kids with their math. He has been a Tudor for three years.

Milt says, "Serving as a Pen Pal and Math Tudor for West Broad Elementary School gives him an opportunity to give back to the community. He was born on Brinker Avenue just south of West Broad Elementary and has a soft heart for the West side kids. So giving back to the community and kids at West Broad Elementary School just seemed the natural fit."
