Foreclosure Info WorkshopsBelow are upcoming Foreclosure Info Workshops that are offered for the benefit of homeowners finding themselves in financial trouble and pending foreclosure. REALTORS® are encouraged to send their clients, or even accompany them to these workshops, as they are very informative to anyone who may be in jeopardy of foreclosure on their home. CBR was host for these workshops throughout 2006, however the Save Our Homes Task Force decided to move them around the city in 2007. Please note that these events are not intended to be a source of listings for real estate agents.
CBR Seeking nominations for Broker, Salesperson, Affiliate and Citizen of the YearThe Awards Night Committee is seeking nominations for CBR Broker, Salesperson, Affiliate and Citizen of the Year. If you know someone who might deserve recognition for their service, you do not need to complete a nomination form, just call Kathy Eliott, 614-475-4000 x 233 by February 28, 2007. The Awards Night celebration is set for Wednesday, April 18 (location not yet determined). Changes to the Million Dollar Club Reporting RequirementsEffective April 1, 2007, all Sales Certification Forms submitted with any Million Dollar Club application must have original signatures in blue ink. For complete reporting requirements and deadlines, please visit ColumbusRealtors.com> Services>Awards Programs>Million Dollar Club. www.ColumbusRealtors.com Are you using the New Residential Disclosure Form?As of January 1, 2007, agents are required to use the new Residential Property Disclosure form issued by the Ohio Division of Real Estate & Professional Licensing. Although it is not necessary to have sellers complete the revised form for properties that were listed prior to January 1, 2007, the new form should be used for all new listings as well as any listing that is extended or re-listed after that date. The new form is posted on the web site and has been incorporated into our online forms program. You must now indicate your state of licensure on your web siteWithin the changes made to the REALTOR® Code of Ethics effective Jan. 1, Standard of Practice 12-9 mandates that REALTOR®'s web sites must disclose the brokerage name and state(s) of licensure in a reasonable and readily apparent manner. Note: Ohio law already mandates the display of the brokerage's name on each page of the Web site. Under this new S.O.P, brokerages must now indicate that the brokerage is licensed in Ohio.
