Barbara Eberhart, Coldwell Banker King Thompson, Angela Grywalski, Real Living HER and Charles Scott, Scott Q Realty Company have been awarded the Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI) designation from the Ohio Association of REALTORS®. The GRI program is designed to enhance recipient's knowledge of real estate marketing and teach skills that will set them apart from the competition.

Harley E. Rouda, Jr., CEO and managing partner at Real Living, Inc., was recently named one of the100 Most Influential Real Estate Leaders by Inman News for the second consecutive year.

Michael Sliemers, HER Real Living, recently received Floyd Wickman's Starmakers Award. Only one percent of REALTORS® in the country have graduated from the seven-week Starmakers program.

Kaira Sturdivant Rouda, chief operating officer of Real Living Inc., has joined the real estate advisory board of Trulia.com to provide counsel to the national real estate search engine regarding its strategy for delivering consumers the best neighborhood and home search experience online.

Stacie L. Warren, The Hadler Companies, has been promoted to the position of Leasing Agent for Hadler Real Estate Management, Inc., a subsidiary of The Hadler Companies. She will be responsible for the leasing of Hadler-owned shopping centers and other properties throughout Ohio and Wisconsin.

Melanie Mills, Best Corporate Real Estate, has been chosen as a 2006 Congressional Medal of Distinction winner for her unyielding support of the Republican Party, outstanding leadership in business and contributions to the local economy.

Coldwell Banker King Thompson recently announced that the following company appointments have been made: Jim Wimmers, office manager, Dublin/Muirfield Office; Jessica Hogg, assistant manager, Dublin/Muirfield office; Brad Brandt, branch manager, Powell office and Nancy Trout, assistant manager, Worthington/Powell office.

Heather Kamann, Real Living HER in Delaware, Ohio, was recently recognized for earning the 35 Million Dollar Club Award from the Delaware County Board of REALTORS®.

Brian Kemp, Keller Williams Capital Partners, has been awarded the CBR 2006 Volunteer Service Award for his commitment and volunteerservice to the Board and to the public. Brian has served as a CBR Director, OAR Director, on the Equal Opportunity and Professional Standards committees, attended all of the state meetings and all of our CBR membership events. He made generous contributions to CORPAC and the Foundation Fund and labored in the heat at REALTOR® Care Day. In addition, he is a board member and wish volunteer for the Make a Wish foundation.

The Volunteer Service Award was established in 1990 by theCommunication Committee to recognize and honor individuals who give of their time and expertise in support of community and association activities.

Marland E. Rivers, Sr., recently joined Real Living HER's sales team and will be working out of the Westerville office. Before joining Real Living HER, Rivers worked for Valley Real Estate Services.

Gary Anderson has been hired by Real Living HER as the director of builder/developer services. He will develop and manage sales and marketing functions for builder/developer clients, provide new home sales training and certification for Real Living HER associates, and assist in the growth of Real Living HER's new construction portal, which was launched in July 2006. Previously, Anderson has held positions in real estate sales and marketing for Rockford Homes, Centex Homes, CV Perry Builders and Showcase Homes.

Chris Anderson, RE/MAX Premier Choice, was inducted as 2007 Vice President of the Council of Residential Specialists, Ohio Chapter during the Ohio Association of REALTOR® Winter Conference in January. Chris is also serving as 2007 Education Chair for the Ohio CRS chapter.

Skip Weiler, The Robert Weiler Co., was honored by the Central Ohio Division of the March of Dimes at its 2006 Real Estate Awards Luncheon held in October. Throughout Skip's 20 years in real estate, he has been recognized for accomplishments in both real estate and for his service to the community. He is credited with creating REALTOR® Care Day in 2005, which is an annual event that brings together REALTOR® volunteers to improve and help spruce up a local community. The focus of the Real Estate Awards Luncheon is to honor outstanding individuals or companies whose commercial real estate activities have significantly enhanced the local community.

HER Real Living became Real Living HER this month -- a move that is part of the company's national re-branding initiative that began in 2002, after the merger with Realty One. The company plans to complete its re-branding by the end of 2007.

Real Living HER's Jane Jones Team in Upper Arlington and James Meyer and Stephen Dial (Meyer & Dial) in the Short North were recently recognized as two of the 25 most innovative agent teams in the nation by RISMedia's Real Estate magazine's "1st Annual Power Teams to Watch." The Jane Jones Team includes Jane Lloyd Jones, Marcy Jones Schoedinger, Elizabeth Jones McKee, Jamie McGowen Jones and Becky Firestone Stuab. The magazine honored teams from across the country for their sales figures, innovative marketing and management skills.

Reta Collins, Esther Lee, Stacey Mankin, Jeff Lawrence and Penny Smith have transferred to Coldwell Banker King Thompson.

To earn the FIS certificate, students must successfully complete the required 30-hour course, which includes training on three levels (Level 1 -- Aspects of Foreclosure Mitigation; Level 2 -- Broker Price Opinions and Fair Housing; and Level 3 -- Foreclosure Intervention Ethics), and pass a written exam that covers all three levels.

In Memoriam

Leda Marie Hodge, a REALTOR® with RE/MAX Premier Choice, passed away on December 15, 2006 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Leda is survived by two sons, Joe Hodge and Jeff (Susan) Hodge; two grandchildren, previous husband and good friend, Stephen Hodge; and a host of other relatives and friends.
