Jody White

Jody White has been involved with the Ohio Military Hall of Fame for Valor since its inception in 2000. For the formal presentations, she prints the program agenda, sews and assembles ribbons and metals. She is also the program photographer and shoots all the presentation photos that are uploaded on the Ohio Heroes website.

The Ohio Military Hall of Fame got its start over lunch. Bob White, Ed Arthur, Jim Garvey, Roger Holbrook, Charlie "PJ" Coulter, and Ted Mosure, all Vietnam combat veterans, had been regularly meeting for informal lunches to reminisce and discuss issues of the day. At one lunch former Army Air Cavalry veteran Ed Arthur presented to his fellow veterans a concept for developing a way for Ohio to honor its heroic veterans in a unique and special manner. This concept became the Ohio Military Hall of Fame to recognize veterans for their valor on the battlefield.

The Ohio Hall of Fame is housed in the Motts Military Museum in Groveport Ohio. To the founders, Ohio is the first State to officially recognize its military heroes in this manner.

Jody says, "This organization is supported by 100% volunteer effort which relies solely on deductible contributions to conduct the annual ceremony. Since my husband and my father were inducted in the inaugural class I have seen the families pride in recognition as well as the appreciation from the veteran for the efforts the organization takes to say "Thank You".

As Keynote speaker, Pat Tiberi, has said "these are truly honorable men and women who we owe a debit of gratitude to for the freedoms we enjoy each day."
