News & Information : In Contract Magazine : January 2007 : MLS News MLS NewsMLS Committee Election ResultsFollowing are the newly elected members of the 2007 CBR Multiple Listing Service Committee:
ALL Listings now forwarded to Realtor.comPolicies adopted by the National Association of REALTORS® at the NAR Convention require the nation's 850 REALTOR® association owned multiple listing services to include all property listings carried by MLSs in feeds distributed to MLS members and national aggregators like Realtor.com. This policy applies to all listings regardless of the type of listing agreement. Currently, CBR is only forwarding Exclusive Right to Sell listings. However, beginning January 1, 2007, CBR will be forwarding Exclusive Right to Sell, Exclusive Agency, MLS Entry Only and Limited Representation listings to Realtor.com. CBR will also be including all four listing types in its feed to member for display on their company web sites. A broker may select (or deselect) the listings they wish to display on the basis of objective criteria such as location type of property, compensation offered for buyer's agents or the level of service provided by the listing company. Entry of Branded Tour or Links on ListingsThe MLS allows links and virtual tours as long as the link or virtual tour has no branded data. Branded data includes, but is not limited to, the display of verbal or written information such as email, addresses, website, officemobile-fax number, company affiliations, primary or ancillary advertisements, logos, agent or team names or identifiable codes or symbols. A virtual tour or link that is placed in the MLS should describe and display the property for sale only. This policy applies to all attachments for your listings including links to school district pages and community information data. If there are questions regarding this policy, please contact Heather Martinsen, MLS policy review coordinator. At (614) 475-4000 x270.
