Emily Meacham

Emily Meacham, J.T. Stinchfield & Assoc., is a volunteer director for Grace Chapel Community Church's Sunshine Committee. This committee is comprised of 20 volunteers whose mission is to help those in need. As director, Emily coordinates the volunteer effort to provide food and financial assistance to those in need.

The committee also cares for the disabled and shut-ins and provides transportation for the elderly and disabled.

Emily has been doing this for more than 10 years and estimates that hundreds of people have been helped through the Committee's work.

Emily says, "The formation of our Sunshine Committee was necessary to organize the mass of volunteers at our church. Our mission is to `be a light on the corner' to those in need. Everyone has hard times and that is when the Sunshine Committee springs into action. I get blessed every time I see volunteers pulling together to help those in need. Just to know that we have shown love by giving of ourselves puts a smile on everyone's faces."
