MLS Access Changes

As you are aware, the login process was changed in August to require members to sign on to CBR Tempo^TM after years of being able to simply store your password. Although entering your information manually each time you log in is a slight inconvenience, the change was made to further tighten security of your MLS data.

A true benefit of this new system is that it includes a Password Auto Responder which, after entering your Username or License # and answer to a Secret Question, will send you your password via email. This now eliminates your inability to retrieve a forgotten password outside of business hours or during a quarterly change requirement.

Another system change was an automatic time-out for inactivity after four hours. This is designed to prevent someone from gaining access to our MLS via a public computer improperly logged out by a member. Keep in mind, a simple touch of the mouse will restart the clock for another four hours.

Our next quarterly password change is scheduled for October 10.

New! CBR Tempo^TM Status Blog

Since the Welcome Screen does us little good in notifying members when the CBR Tempo^TM system is down, we have created an update page. The blog will include messages such as when the system is down, when it is back up, concerns about the system to watch for/be aware of, advance notice of scheduled down time (usually due to system maintenance), etc.

In addition to checking this site for updates, you can also register and have emails sent to you automatically when the site has been updated. Just click on `Register' (bottom left of the page below) and complete the process. Your information will be used only to send you updates from this site.

CBR Tempo^TM Wireless

CBR is currently in the negotiation process with FAMLS (formerly MarketLinx) for providing Wireless Technology for MLS members. This is an exciting new technology that will allow you to access the MLS from any cell phone - if you have internet access on your phone service. This service is expected to be available in January 2007. We'll provide more details when confirmed.

Welcome Screen Messages

CBR staff get numerous requests to post information on the MLS Welcome Screen. Please be aware that staff is not at liberty to determine what information is posted as this is governed by the following MLS Policy:

Section 1.2 -- MLS System Welcome Screen Messages: The information displayed on the MLS System Welcome Screen (viewed when user first signs onto the system) may contain only data pertaining to Crime and Caution Alert Notices, MLS Information, CBR announcements and REALTOR® obituary data requested by a dues paying member with the REALTOR®'s family permission.

Delaware County GIS Training Sessions

In response to multiple requests, the Delaware County Auditor's office is planning a series of training sessions on their DALIS Web (the GIS section of the web site).
