Our second annual community service event - REALTOR® Care Day - was a fabulous success! Over 150 REALTORS®, Affiliates, family and friends volunteered their time to improve properties in five different areas around Central Ohio. Although weather predictions were precarious, mother nature kept the impending storms in check for the duration of the day. Even so, the heat, humidity and down right hard physical labor involved ensured there wasn't a dry volunteer in the group. City of Columbus Director of Development Mark Barbash and Columbus Housing Partnership Executive Director Amy Klaben joined CBR President Chris Reese and Skip Weiler, Chair of the REALTOR® Care Day Subcommittee for a brief presentation at our central location (N. 21st St.) in the morning. Because of the gracious contributions made by members, the REALTOR® Foundation was able to provide over $11,000 to help fund the REALTOR® Care Day projects.
