News & Information : In Contract Magazine : April 2006 : 2006 Tech Users Committee Report 2006 Tech Users Committee ReportTechnology Users Committee Discusses the e-PRO Designation and Client Listing Service
Have you ever considered becoming an e-PRO? That's what the Technology Users Committee discussed in their February, 2006 meeting. The e-PRO Certification is NAR's online training program to certify real estate professionals as Internet Professionals. The e-PRO course is the only certification program of its kind recognized nationwide and endorsed by NAR. You will be able to complete the course at your own pace, when and where you want, with any internet connection.... 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Real estate professionals who complete the online course not only receive continuing education credit, but also learn practical applications of technologically advanced skills to help them in their day-to-day business. Most buyers and sellers require some "technology" in their transaction. The e-PRO course gives the novice student some wonderful ways to boost their skill level, while giving the more seasoned student many practical ways to enhance his or her business. The e-PRO designation will set you apart from other real estate professionals, as the consumer becomes more demanding on how information is transferred. If you are interested in obtaining this information and becoming an e-PRO, you may enroll immediately. Simply complete the sign-up form at www.eProNAR.com. You will select your own username and password when you complete your sign-up form. You have six months to finish the course from the time you enroll and are issued your username and password to access the material. The time to complete the entire online course is about 15 to 24 hours. Once you pass your final examination, they will review your assignments and coursework and then will issue your e-PRO Certificate and send you your e-PRO pin (there is a 30 day period from the time you clicked `Begin Course'). The cost of the course is $359, plus a $15 per module fee to obtain the certificates for continuing education (a total of $60). Nine members of the Technology Users Committee signed up for this valuable course after seeing a video and a PowerPoint presentation I provided. Matt Warren also presented information regarding the Client Listing Service, which is a wonderful new prospecting tool that was introduced to the Columbus Board of REALTORS® in November 2005. |
