This award recognizes members for their involvement in their industry and community. Applicants must accumulate a minimum of ten (10) points (i.e. one point for being on a committee, one point for volunteer work, etc.) within the calendar year (January 1-December 31).
Chris Anderson, RE/MAX Premier Choice, has been elected to serve as secretary/treasurer of the Ohio Chapter of the Council of Residential Specialists (CRS). He will serve in this capacity through 2006, at which time; he looks to move into the president-elect chair. Residential salespeople who hold the CRS designation specialize in listing properties, selling, and investing, as well as mortgage financing and computer applications. The CRS designation is offered by the Residential Sales Council. Kristin Rosen, Madison & Rosan, LLP Partner, has been appointed to the City of Gahanna's Planning Commission by the Gahanna City Council. The seven member planning commission is responsible for reviewing development plans, building design and proposed signage and advises the Gahanna City Council on zoning changes. Kristin's three-year term began January 2, 2006. Rob Click, senior managing director of CB Richard Ellis, Inc., was honored as broker of the year by the Columbus chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties NAIOP) at its annual awards program on December 1, 2005. In Memoriam Derrill Edward (Smoky) Wolfe passed away suddenly on December 28, 2005. Derrill joined his father in the Wolfe Insurance and Real Estate Agency and was a former CBR Director. He was employed in the Trust Department of Huntington National Bank and retired from National City Bank as a trust officer. He was a long time member of the Columbus Board of REALTORS® and of Blendon Lodge F & AM, Horeb Chapter, Zabud Council, Mt. Vernon Commandery No. 1 and Aladdin Shrine. He served 8 years on the Westerville School Board, two years as president. He also was on Friendship Village of Columbus and Dublin Board of Directors for 20 years and volunteered for over ten years as a courier for the American Red Cross, one of his greatest joys. Derrill is survived by his wife of 45 years, Darlene Abshire Wolfe; daughters, Danni Elena Diol (Michael), and their children Daimler, and twins Eva and Joseph, DeAnne Vallo (Joe), their children David and Laura; and son, Derrill Duane (Sandy) and their children Sydney and Sofia; sister, Marilyn Wolfe Pettit (Jack); and many cousins, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Red Cross. |
