Dot Pasden

Dot Pasden has been a volunteer at St. Ann?s Hospital in Westerville for the more than 10 years. On Thursday afternoons you can find Dot at St. Ann?s Hospital Patient Information Desk, where she handles a variety of activities, including answering phones, delivering flowers to patient rooms, providing nutrition services and helping to discharge patients.

Also for the past 25 years, Dot has been a TWIG volunteer for Children?s Hospital, where she has helped raise money for the hospital through the TWIG holiday craft bazaar and The Memorial Golf Tournament. At the tournament, Dot has served as a green reporter and worked the concession stands.

TWIGs are groups of women throughout central Ohio who support Children?s Hospital through a wide variety of fundraising projects. TWIGs operate independently as well as participate in larger projects as a whole organization and with other Children?s Auxiliary groups. Since their inception they have raised more than $25 million to support patient care, education and research at Children?s.

In addition to fund raising activities through the bazaar and The Memorial Tournament, TWIGs also raise funds at the BIA Parade of Homes and by selling holiday cards and gift wrap.

Dot says, "My commitment to volunteering at the hospital comes from my strong desire to touch lives and, because there is so much sadness in a hospital, bring a little happiness in to the lives of patients and their families."
