Bessie Harper

Bessie Harper serves as the Parish nurse for the Johnstown United Methodist Church. In that capacity, she helps conduct blood pressure screenings and, along with the Johnstown Fire Department, will help organize and host C.P.R. training classes for the church and for the community.

Bessie is also in the process of developing the Health Ministry Program at Johnstown United Methodist Church.

This program will be designed to promote spritural, mental and physical wholeness and well-being.

In addition to blood pressure screenings and the C.P.R. training, this ministry will also provide health care education  for all age groups, including parents of younc children, teenagers, people with health problems and the elderly.

Bessie says, "I'm a retired nurse and have been working as a REALTOR® for 6 years, but, I still wanted to connect with people in a more personal way and use my nursing skills. Through the Parish Nursing Ministry and the Health Ministry Program, I can accomplish both.
