Pete Bekos has been named Director of Residential Sales for RZ Realty. This new position was developed to assist in the continued expansion of the company. Bekos has eight years experience in full-time residential sales.

Laura Miller, CB Richard Ellis, has received the SIOR designation (Specialist, Industrial and Office Real Estate) awarded by the Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS®. The SIOR designation is awarded to individuals with proven experience in commercial real estate and who pass a strenuous 30-hour program of coursework. Laura has been an office leasing and sales specialist since 1988.

Nicole Yoder-Barnhart, Real Living; Sue Lusk-Gleich, Keller Williams Capital Partners Realty; and Jeanine C. Hanna, HER Real Living were selected by RIS Media as REALTORS® on the Rise. This recognition is RISMedia's Real Estate magazine's first annual competition which spotlighted 50 of today's most innovative real estate agents for "being tenacious, creative, technologically proficient, savvy business people, and generous members of their community."

Abby Abboushi, Kent Amlin Realty, has earned the Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI) designation from the Ohio Association of REALTORS®.

Chris S. Anderson, RE/MAX Premier Choice, has been awarded the prestigious Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation by the National Association of REALTORS® Council of Residential Specialists.

Steve Mauger was hired as vice president of Grabill & Co. He will be directing the marketing of Gorden Farms, a Dublin apartment complex the developer bought this year with plans to transform it into condominiums.

Stephen D. Holzer was promoted as President of Commercial One REALTORS®. Holzer, his brother David and father, Max and Steve Mauger, formed the commercial real estate brokerage and property management company in 1989, when Pat Grabill led King Thompson REALTORS® purchase of Holzer-Wolman's residential brokerage division.

John Ressler, RE/MAX Achievers, has earned the Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI) designation from the Ohio Association of REALTORS®.

Shad Phipps, investment specialist with The Robert Weiler Co., was awarded the Certified Commercial Investment Member designation by the CCIM Institute. The CCIM designation is awarded to commercial real estate professionals upon completion of a graduate-level curriculum and attainment of a particular level of experience.

John Kemp has joined Keller Williams Consultants. He brings with him four years experience in real estate, a B.A. from Ohio State and a Master's degree in city planning from Boston University.

Countrywide Home Loans has appointed Chuck Pearson as branch manager for the Gahanna office located at 1323 Stoneridge Drive.

Tom Nippert, Century 21 Joe Walker & Associates, was recently honored with a 4th -time teaching nomination from "Who's Who Among American Teachers." This is quite an achievement because less than 2% ever get nominated for this honor multiple times.

In Memoriam

William H. Hadler

passed away on Monday, October 24, 2005, at the Whetstone Care Center. He was CEO of The Hadler Companies, a real estate development firm, which he founded in 1947. He was born in Columbus on November 6, 1926, was a 1944 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School, served in the Merchant Marines, and attended The Ohio State University. He later received an honorary doctorate degree in humane letters from Ohio Dominican University in 2000. Bill was a life member of the National Association of REALTORS®, Ohio Association of REALTORS® and the Columbus Board of REALTORS®. He is survived by Dorothea (Dotty) his loving wife of 58 years; daughters, Marjory (Walter) Waligura and Shirley (Bill) Koniewich, and son, George (Pat) Hadler; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
