Al Wilderman

Al Wildermam and his wife Angie again spearheaded last year's Hospice Holidays -- an annual dinner, dance and auction that takes place the first Saturday in December. This event benefits Madison County Hospital Home Health and Hospice.

Several unique items were collected for the auction, including a 5 liter bottle of Stags Leap wine vintage 1977 "Cast 23" and sold for $1800, a beautiful hand-crafted dollhouse donated by the London Correctional Institute, tickets to Throughly Modern Millie, a week on the Gulf of Mexico, and much, much more.

Hospice is a special kind of caring to help terminally ill people live life to the fullest, neither hastening nor prolonging life.

Madison County Hospital Home Health and Hospice is certified by Medicare and Medicaid. Patients are accepted regardless of their ability to pay.

The generosity of friends and families who provide support through donations and memorial gifts, allow the hospital to offer services to all those in need.

Al says, "We have co-chaired this event for the last two years and have raised approximately $38,000 each year. We will also chair the 2005 event because we feel it is a worthy cause."
