Bradley Weatherford, Dooley & Co., REALTORS® has been awarded the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation from the Residential Sales Council for completing advance courses and demonstrating professional expertise in residential real estate.

Gale Broome, HER Real Living, recently earned the Graduate REALTORS® Institute (GRI) designation from the Ohio Association of REALTORS®. Gale successfully completed over 90 hours of classroom instruction to earn this designation. A few of the curriculum areas that the GRI designation focuses on is construction, sales & marketing, appraising, financing, negotiating and other current issues. Nationally, less than 10 percent of all REALTORS® hold this designation.

Michael D. Grenert, Rj Boll Realty, has been promoted to vice president of the commercial and industrial real estate brokerage. Michael also has recently earned the Society of Office and Industrial REALTORS® (SIOR) designation. Only 32 of the region's commercial Realtors have received the SIOR designation. To receive this designation, applicants must demonstrate certain educational, sales volume and ethical standards and be an active REALTOR® member with at least five years experience as a commercial or industrial agent.

Rick Liljedahl has joined the team of ROI Realty Services, Inc. Based in Connecticut and New York City, Rick brings more than 25 years of experience in the brokerage and finance industry, specializing in investment and tax strategy transactions for high net worth individuals and corporations.

Prospect Bank is now Sky Bank - Sky Financial Group, Inc. recently acquired Prospect Bancshares, Inc. (Worthington, Ohio) and its wholly-owned subsidiary Prospect Bank ? a $202 million savings bank operating four full-service branches in the Columbus, Ohio market.

CBR Members Receive Volunteer Service Award

The Volunteer Service Award was established in 1990 by the Communication Committee to recognize and honor individuals who give of their time and expertise in support of community and association activities.

To qualify, recipients must accumulate at least 10 points - roughly the equivalent of 10 different activities - during the calendar year. Points are achieved via REALTOR® organization involvement, contributions to CORPAC and the REALTOR® Foundation Fund, and activities that benefit our community, schools and environment.

Recipients are eligible to receive this award only once. However, the Volunteer Service Award is given to as many as qualify. The following three members received the 2004 Volunteer Service Award:

Jan Jedlinsky, Metro II Realty

Fil Line, National Realty Services

Pilar Powell, Keller Williams Greater Columbus Realty
