January 2004 began a new communication for CBR members with this monthly article called TECH TOOLS & TIPS. We said we would bring you info on products that would be helpful to you as a REALTOR® taking a look at the needs of an office REALTOR®, the mobile REALTOR®, and the virtual REALTOR®.
This year we discussed cell phones, PDA's, digital cameras, contact management software, laptops, desktops, security for your systems, virtual realty, and encouraged members to get the e-Pro designation available online.
We had two additional special guests in 2004 _- our Franklin County Auditor Joe Testa who spoke to us about the county's website information available to all; and commercial REALTOR® Mike Zelnik who offered some expert marketing advice via the web.
In November, we sponsored TECH DAY at CBR which was a tremendous success! All of the vendors who presented the latest and greatest hardware and software products to us in 2004 along with some other technology related vendors were invited to participate in a booth at CBR TECH DAY. Prizes were given away including cell phones, copiers, fax machines, and gift certificates for dinner.
