This is an extremely important and timely subject. The morning session has been approved for 3 hours of CE credit. The afternoon session is a self-defense training session, and so you will want to wear comfortable clothing. A boxed lunch is provided. You do not have to stay for the afternoon session, but there is no reduction in price if you choose not to stay. And you will be missing vital information that can help save your life. You owe it to yourself to take the time to devote the day to this important topic. The cost is $35 for the entire day and includes a boxed lunch. The fee must be paid by May 1st. Space is limited to the first 70 paid registrants.

The 2008 CBR Main REALTOR Care Day project will be at CHP's American Addition (Joyce & Woodward Avenues). Work will include fixing up/painting the community center (Tray Lee Center), significant grounds clean up (fill, tree/shrub removal) and addition of a new entry feature at Joyce & Woodward Avenues.

This 3-hour CE class is taught by Keith Turner (Reverse Mortgage Consultant, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage). Did you know that a reverse mortgage can be used to buy a new home and/or a second home? A reverse mortgage converts some of the home's equity into tax-free funds. Course content includes: information concerning a reverse mortgage versus a traditional mortgage, legislative history and recent growth, characteristics and types of reverse mortgages, the differences between program types, the process of obtaining a reverse mortgage, using Fannie Mae's product to purchase real estate, and more. The Residential Purchase Contract was introduced in March 2004. Since then, there have been revisions to and some confusion about the contract. This course is a comprehensive review of the contract and how it relates to doing business without problems. The focus of the course is to provide clarity and to review the common issues that have surfaced. The course is designed to educate the membership in how to use the purchase contract effectively in business, and it is necessary whether you have been in the real estate business a month or twenty years.
