News & Information : In Contract Magazine : November 2004 : President's Perspective President's PerspectiveJust do it - Now!
How many things do we want to do but we wait? My message is to not wait any longer. Do it this instant. Two weeks ago, one of my best friend's - Darryl Isabel (a REALTOR® the Columbus Board of REALTORS®) - daughter died unexpectedly at the age of 16. You may have heard or seen it on the news. She passed out at school and died by the time she arrived at the hospital. She was a great person, involved only in good things. It was and is tragic and awful. It forced some realizations on all of us. First, we never know when our time will come or anyone else's; we must value every second. While on this earth, we must live life to its fullest. We need to tell our family and friends that we love them. If there is something we want to do we need to do it now. If there is something we want to say we need to say it now. We may not have the chance tomorrow. The death of my friend's daughter brought all of our friends together. We told each other, "I love you." I tell my family that all the time but I realized I need to do more. If there is something you need to say or something you need to do, do it now. You may not have the chance tomorrow. |
