Van Steyn to Receive OAR Distinguished Service Award
Charlotte Van Steyn, ABR, CRB, CRS, GRI, president and broker/owner of RE/MAX Premier Choice, has been selected to receive the Distinguished Service Award. This very prestigious award recognizes long-standing members who have demonstrated an uncommon commitment to the goals and purposes of the Association at all levels. Among other things, recipients of this award must have been an agent/broker for 25 years, contributed 25 years of voluntary service, including leadership positions in the local, state and national associations and currently be active in all levels of the Association. Charlotte’s resume of service is extensive and inlcudes being selected Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce Small Business Person of the Year in 2004, serving as CBR President in 1994, and being chosen CBR Broker of the Year in 1995, and Salesperson of Year in 1987. CBR member Pat O’Neil, CRB, CRS, GRI, was elected to serve a one-year term as OAR Treasurer. Pat is vice president of Century 21 C.R. O’Neil & Co., REALTORS®. He has been active at all levels of the Association. For CBR, he served as president in 1996 and was selected REALTOR®-Broker of the Year in 1998. Pat’s term begins January 1, 2005. Bob Miller, ABR, CRS, GRI, of RE/MAX Premier Choice has been selected as OAR 2004 “REALTOR® of the Year.” This award is based on professional achievement, local Board activities, service to the state and national associations, as well as business and education experience and civic activities. Licensed in 1977, Bob served as president last year and was honored as its 2003 REALTOR®-Broker of the Year. He also has served in numerous other capacities, including chairing CBR’s Foundation Fund Advisory Board and the CEO Evaluation and Strategic Long-Range Planning committees. He also has been active on both the state and national levels. Bob was nominated by CBR and honored at the OAR Awards Luncheon in Cincinnati. CBR’s Lynda Long, ABR, CRB, CRS, was elected to serve a two-year term as OAR’s District 6 Vice President. Lynda is a sales associate with Coldwell Banker King Thompson and is also active at all levels of the Association. In 2002, she served as CBR’s president and, in 1999, was chosen CBR’s REALTOR®-Salesperson of the Year. Lynda’s term begins January 1, 2005. Lynda, way to go! |
