Time Management

On June 22, 2004, the Technology Committee benefited from the insight of Steve Tornes,
Manager of the Franklin Covey store in the City Center Mall.  Steve focused on the benefits
of technology in time management, and shared some of the newest gadgets and software
available to increase productivity. 
 
He focused on the Franklin Covey planning principles, which are well known for their
comprehensive focus on all life aspects - work, family and personal goals - and integrated
into all Franklin Covey products.  Franklin covey also sells other product brands that enhance
the store's goal of improving our efficiency.  Software, PCs, accessories, leather portfolios
and traditional paper planning systems are examples of store products.
 
Mr. Tornes discussed the three types of time management product they offer:
 
-    Tablet Planner, for tablet PCs
-    PlanPlus, for Windows XP
-    Traditional paper version of the Franklin Covey planner
 
New technology seamlessly blends information access across laptop, handheld and tablet
PCs, plus the latest phones equipped with Blue Tooth transmitters.  It is now possible to
access the internet in our client's homes, synchronize with our office teams, and always have
the most recent real estate information at our fingertips.  Therefore, speaking with a time
management expert ensures that you will get the most out of your technology investment. 
As a trend, Mr. Tornes spoke to the balance that people in all professions are finding between
the "paperless world" we once aspired to and our need to retain some paper to manage tasks,
calendars and contacts.   The tools that Franklin Covey provides help ease some of the pressure
we all feel to be more productive.
