The Board of Directors consists of : (a) 12 REALTOR® members, four of whom are elected each year for terms of three years each; the Immediate Past President; one Corporate or Individual Affiliate Member elected each year for a one-year term; the President, President-Elect, Treasurer, and Secretary; the chair of the C/I Section Steering Committee; and the Chief Executive Officer. Those elected in the upcoming elections below will begin their term January 1, 2005
Office of DIRECTORResume and photo required by October 22, 2004 Anyone wishing to run for the Affiliate or one of the four Director positions must be a CBR member in good standing (residential or commercial) and have held continuous membership in the Board for a minimum of three successive years. Election of the Nominating Committee REALTOR® members of the CBR will elect four members to serve on the Nominating Committee at the Annual Business Meeting, Thursday, October 21, 2004. The Nominating Committee for Directors consists of: four REALTOR® members who are neither current Directors nor past presidents; the elected REALTOR® Directors whose terms expire this year; and one past president appointed by the current President. If you wish to serve on the Nominating Committee but cannot be at the annual business meeting, we will need your written consent in advance. No member of the Nominating Committee may be nominated to run on the slate of candidates. The Nominating Committee will meet at 9:00 a.m. on Monday October 25, 2004 to select nominees. Election of DIRECTORS Eligible voting members of the CBR will be mailed written ballots containing the names of all persons nominated by the committee, together with a return envelope. Your ballot must be returned by noon on November 18. Ballots received after the stated deadline cannot be considered. The Nominating Committee will meet November 19 to count the ballots. Election of the C/I STEERING COMMITTEEResume and photo required by October 1, 2004 Anyone interested in running for the CBR C/I Steering Committee must have been a REALTOR® member of the CBR for at least three consecutive years. Resume and photo are due by October 1. The nominating committee will meet later in October to review all submitted resumes. The nominating committee will select the slate of candidates from the submitted resumes. Ballots will be mailed to all CBR commercial members in November. Office of SECRETARY

Anyone wishing to run for Secretary must be a REALTOR® member in good standing (residential or commercial) and have served as an elected Director of the Board. They also must recognize the volunteer time involved in this position and be willing to serve in this position to its fullest capacity. This includes committing to serve as an officer for the next five years as secretary, treasurer, president-elect, president and immediate past president.
Nomination & Election of SECRETARY
The slate of candidates for officer positions is determined by a Nominating Committee and elected by the Board of Directors. The Nominating Committee is made up of the current President and two Past Presidents whom the current President appoints. The slate is sent to all Directors in advance of the October meeting at which time the slate is officially presented and the floor opened for any further nominations. The actual election of the officers will be conducted at the November 17 meeting of the Board of Directors. If the election ballot consists of more than one candidate for any of the elected offices, the election shall be by secret ballot. If the election ballot consists of only one nominee for each office, the election may be conducted by voice vote.
