Jack Travis

Jack Travis, HER Real Living, is has been involved in numerous community activities that include sittng on the Board of Ballet Met to organizing fund raisers for the National Center for Adoption Law and Policy to chairing Octoberfest, where he also coordinated the Children's tents to his fund raising efforts for Camp Sunrise.

Camp Sunrise is a charitable, nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering children and families impacted by HIV/AIDS.

The camp offers a fun-filled summer camp experience free from the isolation so often associated with the AIDS epidemic.

There are only two such camps in Ohio that cater specifically to the needs of children affected by the HIV infection and AIDS. This unique program provides a therapeutic community where campers have the opportunity to experience relief from the overwhelming emotions associated with the disease. They can master new skills and develop new friendships through playing, talking, art, drama, games, and traditional camp activities.

Through its fund raising efforts, the camp, as well as transportation to and from camp, is provided at no cost to the camper or his or her family.

Jack says, "As Realtors® we make our living in the community. If we don't make a conscientious effort to participate and give back, some areas will be left out entirely. My focus, and my team's focus, is to commit ourselves to making a difference."
