Tempo Training on DVD

Upon recommendation of the MLS Committee and approval by the Board of Directors, CBR will pursue creation and publication of a DVD which will include REALTOR® training on the CBR Tempo MLS system.

Although not intended to replace the CBR Tempo Level I class, the DVD will be an excellent tool for new agents learning the Tempo MLS system.

As sample screen appearance on the DVD will be reflective of the items on the MLS worksheets, production of the new DVD is to coincide with the implementation of the new MLS worksheets expected later this summer.

Realist.com

The Columbus Board of REALTORS® MLS Committee and leadership has approved adding Realist.com to its portfolio of real estate tools and products offered to all MLS members. Realist is a product of First American Real Estate Solutions, the parent company of our current MLS vendor, Marketlinx. It is a public record data source for MLS systems that is in use at many other boards nationwide.

Realist integrates with the Tempo MLS system. It is browser based and will link directly to data and software currently in use by members of the Columbus Board of Realtors. This will allows users to link directly from a listing to its corresponding public record. Users can perform simple searches, or extensive ones for listing kits, farming lists, and contact management. It delivers detailed property, sales and mortgage information and enables users to auto-populate listings with the data.

This product will offer annotated tax maps, street maps, flood maps and document images. Data enhancements such as telephone numbers and standardized property addresses with geo-coding are also available. Realist produces robust comparables and MLS member searches can be saved and re-used to avoid repetitive, redundant data entry.

The real benefit of Realist.com will be seamless auto-entry of public information to listing forms. It will also reduce the management and administrative cost of obtaining and converting public record data into MLS format input. Because of the auto-population of data, accuracy and currentness of the integrated public record data will be assured, and fewer errors will enter the forms by manual entry typographical errors and omissions.

The most current and comprehensive information from Realist will be available from the best sources including much of the same data provided by PACE and MetroScan who are also now part of First American Real Estate Solutions. Members considering new contracts or renewals with these and other data providers can now compare services with those offered through their MLS and their other outside vendor sources to be certain they have the best real estate products to meet their needs and those of their clients. Detailed lists and report customization capability will allow easy tailoring of data to the users needs. Current sales comparables can be calculated with great precision and downloading capability for mailing labels and contact management applications will help to increase office efficiency.

The contracted services that will be included for members of the Columbus Board of Realtors will include: 

• basic services (auto-population, search pages, saved searches, reports) 
• comparable services (street map, neighborhood search) 
• export services 
• enhanced services (reverse link from public record to listing, XML combined report) 
• neighborhood area profile

Realist.com will provide information, including tax records, sales, and mortgages for the following counties:  Delaware, Franklin, Licking, Madison, Fairfield, Pickaway, Union, Morrow, Fayette,

Images will be available for the following counties (Assessor’s Tax Maps):  Delaware, Franklin, Licking, Madison.
